Well, two years on and my basement workshop has overflowed into my home office.  At least temporarily.

I've just bought a number of 2.4 Gig planes for indoors (Ember and Wanderer) and won another in RC Canada's giveaway.  All three use lesser radio systems, so I ponied up for a Spektrum DX6i and now have some spare 2.4 Multiplex transmitters with one as a buddy box as needed.

Sticking to indoors planes for the next while and then parkfliers for the summer.

My now-spare 72 MHz systems are being listed on RCC and Kijiji. Next week is the Aurora Model Aircraft swapmeet in Newmarket. Got enough itmes to make a fairly good show on the table.

Cash is good! Exchange my old stuff for someone else's old stuff.

Welcome to the Blog-o-Sphere!

Welcome to the blog-o-sphere!  Even that leaves a tast in my mouth when I read it.
First blog, first posting.  Migth as well make some introductions.
I've been modelling (plastic, Guillow's chuck gliders and rubber ROGs, then RC) for most of my life, with getting into RC around 1982.  Since then, I've accumulated and purged piles of kits and models.
My current stable of completed and almost-there/under-repair aircraft are:
  • Great Planes Escapade (smashed nose and wingtip last year, under repair)
  • NexStar (yes, a trainer because I'm as rusty as all get-out -- see Escapade for why)
  • Ultrafly Hawk pusher
  • Sig Kougar (almost there, needs control surfaces aqnd electric setup finished)
  • Midwest Strikemaster (given wings and plans, just have to buid a new fuselage)
  • Veron Fairey FD-2 (1950's free flight DF, to be used as basis for EDF version)
  • Avro Arrow (various versions in depron, another coming out of the stable this summer)
  • Electric SuperSportster (needs some new servoes for maiden)
  • Akaflieg Stuttgart FS.28 Avispa (scratch design)
plus about 30 or so plan sets, another ten kits, plus howver many magazines with free plans or designs that I'm interested in.
Guess that covers it for today. Tonight's activity is going to be clearing out the3 workbench and shop area (Christmas lights, old furniture, what have you) and making a new set of benches and shelves on one wall to organize my ower tools (another posting and then some) plus the partial jobs, plus everything else.  Oh, yes, storage space for my eBay sales that support the RC hobby.
